Hi guys

can u please tell me how to palce, let's say, the last 4 images added to (4images) gallery *on* the ForumHome page of VB ?

i've seen such implementaion on lot's for VB bourds...specialy those using (PhotoPost) ...

so i realy like and hope that any body code this and tell me what should i do..

WORKED[/size]

i've made an upgrade from 1.6 --> 1.7
then followed the detailed instructions in the hack...
and although i made the integration on an EXISTING and WORKING gallery, it WORKED ...

i had to manually modify the UserIDs of the images to reflect to the original VB users...thank god they were not allot... :lol:

any how...i fired the galley now live and it's working perfectly so far..
if i had any troubles i'll post it here..

hi guys..

guess what was the damn problem...
it's the "config.php", had a balnk lines at the end of the file  :oops:

i removed them and every thing went smoth normal and ---F-A-S-T

Hi all..

i recently moved to another hosting server...

i dumbed the DB and restored it with PHPMYADMIN normally with no errors.

aslo moved the whole directory and made the CHMOD stuff to the files..

but the gallery went very very slow ...
the main site is working very fast , i have a VB2 forum running php and gzip ( level 1 comp.)  and working just fine..

the 4images is aslo using (Gzip level 1 comp) but it's very slow...

another thing... the Admin panel working fast asn normall...
but the main gallery is not...

i haven't changed any thing in the script after the moving...

any help please ?

may be becouse of this so-called "PHP Safe Mode" problem...

if it's enabled on your server, then you will get some sort of errors...

it's been fixed in v.1.6

Hi Nicky,

my main request is : not to put any image files on my LOCAL server which the "4images" script working on..

i need any way to just LINK to any other images on OTHER servers..

in your example i still have to UPLOAD images, no matter it's size, it will still consume a storage..

another thing...
the script are not accepting empty fileds in the UPLOAD field.
i can't put an "http://" link in the URL filed and just leave the UPLOAD filed empty...

the script doesn't accept this...

aslo this is absoulty no mySQL filed for the URL.
if you checked the list above, you will not find any filds for the URL.

even if you try to upload a local file into the UPLOAD filed, and type any thing in the URL filed it will not be saved in the mySQL database...simply becouse it has no coresponding filed to be stored in...
and when you get back to edit the image properties you will find the URL filed EMPTY...

i hope that i've cleared my point...

Hi..

as i can see, the integration is highly requested by a very wide range of users...

the main reason is the ultimatly spreading of VB...
also if you see the "PhotoPost" is rocking all over the net just becouse it has this integration to VB...

4images has a very strong feature than "PhotoPost"...it's : PHP enabled..

yet "PhotoPost" doesn't support PHP...only PERL...

thier is an open subject for this progect:

but it's much much better to see the integration form the genuis guy who created this whole legend :)

so my question is : is their any planes for an official integration with VB ?
