Thank you! I guess there are no update scripts needed for my version. That was an easy upgrade ;)

Im sorry but I dont speak German. Can someone please explain, in English, how to perform the upgrade. I have already backed up my previous install which was 1.7.9 and the database. I uploaded the new 1.8 files and the site is still running, but isn't there supposed to be an upgrade script to run that would update the tables and anything else, or was it only minor script changes and nothing to the tables at all?

Well, in the chmod, the data directory, and all the contents within, are 777. Should something outside that be set also?

4
Yup, it does. Since I just did the upgrade, I forgot to change the gif.html and jpeg.html files and remove the fixed width/height code. They appear fine now. I just need to re-edit them to where I had them before

Im going to have to keep playing with the directory settings to see why folders arent being created when I try an upload

The thumbnails show up fine int he gallery, but when I click on one, the larger image doesnt appear at all on the details page, like this

http://www.toonarific.com/clipart/details.php?image_id=178

I looked at settings, and dont see anything about this sort of thing

Well, my safe mode is off, so that wasnt the problem. I managed to upload the image when I created the directory by hand in the media and thumbnail folder. Is there a way for the system to automatically create the directories when uploading images? It will be rather tedious to have to create directories on the server each time I want to upload new images

7
I dont believe so. I dont see a Safe Mode setting in the Settings page.

I have tried uploading some new clipart recently, and I have been getting this error

Error uploading image file: Betty_Boop.gif
Betty_Boop.gif: Copy error. Please check the directory permissions.

No database entry!

I have checked the directories on my server, and the media folders are all chmod 777. What could be causing the problem? Thanks in advance

Ok, I checked the link, and it seems thought should do it. However, Im not trying to add flash files, so what template file am I supposed to ad/alter the code on? Thanx

I have just recently changed the design on my site, and am having a problem when changing my templates over in 4images. Most of the section converted fine. However, some of the full size images have widths greater than 420 pixels. I want to set the max width shown to only 420 pixels, so if the image is wider, it will size it down to fit into the design. An example of the current problem can be seen at

http://www.toonarific.com/clipart/details.php?image_id=3

I tried going into the administration section, and under Settings, changed the max. image width in pixels to 420. However, this doesnt seem to be working. Is there another way I can get this to work, so that it doesnt stretch my site, but also so I dont have to manually change the actual image sizes. I want them to remain at the size they are, just fit into the new design. Thanx
