style.css problem - please help - it's a bad day:(

I can't change font sizes in the 4bare template. I installed 4bare before and it worked great, but this time I can only seem to alter the body background colour and font size. The whole page becomes one colour. Apart from being able to change the colour of the bar whare it says "currently there are no images", no matter what settings I change in style.css, nothing seems to happen.

I checked out the style.css FAQ:
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5702&highlight=style+css, but wondered if there was an equivalent for 4bare. Maybe you could remind me of what I'm doing wrong.

Could someone help please?

No matter what I do to try and change the main font size in 4bare, nothing happens. It seems I've changed every possible variable in the style.css.

Please don't tell me to go look at the FAQ - I have.
