Installation problems with MySql Database
« on: January 29, 2003, 08:14:05 AM »
  Sorry to bother you with this question but i've been searching all of your forum for the correct answers but seems to get nowhere.
I've installed mysql, php and ofcourse the 4images software on my WindowsXP machine. I'm running IIS with dreamweaver and also MS sql server, everything goes well so far, but while installing the 4images software it goes down on me. When trying to install the 4images stuff i';m getting the following error:

DB Error: Bad SQL Query: SELECT setting_name, setting_value FROM 4images_settings
Table '4images.4images_settings' doesn't exist

I did adjust the config.php as described on several forum topics, but please can you help me out here.  :?

You can also answer in german, but excuse me for not asking in german (not that good enough in writing it)

Did you run install.php? This file creates the needed entries in the database. If this does not work, try to create the entries manually with the dump in data/database/mysql_default.sql.

Alright, when i run install.php this is when the error comes up, so accessing the install.php fails, on your next suggestion (manually dumping you've lost me) is there a topic that will descripe the procedure hereon?

Sorry, i read in your first post that you use MSSQL. 4images works only with MySQL.

Sorry Jan, my mistake, i do use MySQL, must have been a mistype my side. But i managed to dump the .sql data into the database this morning, i'm working on some other issues now (like error messages while trying to automatically resize images and creation thumbnails) when i get stucj here i will browse the forum again, and perhaps we will post eachother (but ofcourse only when i can't find the right answers.

Thanks so far.
