Can change the width of home.html how to do this for all pages of the gallery?

Hi there I'm a realtive begginner so bear with me.
I'm using the default template
I've edited home.html to make the horizontal width what I want, and adjusted various colours n whatnot.
My question is that the colour and font info carries all the way through the different sections of the gallery, but as soon as I go from the homepage to any of the catagories the width reverts back to what it was.

Is there a global way to have the width always the same or is it that you have to manually go through all of them and set it?

I don't know any global way. But you could edit category.html etc.
