Gallery Thumbs Problem
« on: September 25, 2008, 08:38:00 AM »
Hi 4images Team,

I still got the same problem I mentioned in the Topic "Thumbnails are going crazy..." from Sept. 9. 2008
I don't know if it's a script problem or maybe a server problem. One time I visit the gallery all works fine, then another time nothing works???
I got a few comments from users about this issue and would like to solve the bug a.s.a.p.!

Here again the description I made in an earlier topic:

When I check my gallery (Version 1.7.4) @ http://www.f11digital.com/4images/index.php the thumbnails (in Random image and New images) are showing sometimes my pictures and sometimes just the default "b/w eye thumbnails".
If they show the thumbnails in the right way and I click on a category theme, the same happen here, sometimes the photos are there and sometimes just the b/w eyes are allover the page. When I refresh the current page, the photo thumbs show up and sometimes I have to refresh 2-6 times until I can see the thumbs.
When the thumbs are showed correctly, the gallery works fine and if the thumbs are not showed the way they should, everything else fails as well!

The other error or strange thing that occurs is in the control panel home page. After the log in, all the information like Who's online and the Stats are showing up correctly and another time when I log in, only the Who's online information is showed correctly. To see the Stats I have to scroll down big times to see the information...

I entered my gallery from other computers and the same thing happen with the thumbnails!
Where is to look for this bug? Script side or Sever side?

Regards,

Stephan

hi stephan,

yes, i see your issue too..

did you look what your server error_log & access_log shows, because i think it's Server Side based.
and phpinfo would be fine if you show us.
cheers
Nicky

Hi Nicky,

It was a server problem...
I explained them the bug @ support and in 1/2 hour they fixed it!

They wrote:

Thanks a bunch Nicky
Have a good one...

Stephan

doh!
I wonder what kind of PHP settings could possibly mess up a site like this?!
