/tmp/mysql.sock - Error - please help!

EDIT: Its gettin' worster, please help me.

I've read the error-messages, and search the whole forum for this kind of message, but did not find a solution.
I'am getting this not permanently, but from time to time:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (11) in /www/ggrec.com/www/root/zapomnime2/includes/db_mysql.php on line 39

DB Error: Could not connect to the database server (localhost, ggrec_4images2).

I first thought that this is NOT a 4images problem, so i contacted my hosting provider, but he tells me thats an error in 4images - what should i do?

You have only one good solution - change hoster.
If they are saying that this is a SCRIPT's problem, then its obvious they have no idea what they are talking about, therefore its not safe to stay with their support.
