Ladebalken in KB/s ???

HI.

Als ich mal bei V@no seiner Galerie zu Besuch war, stellte ich fest, das er ein echt gutes Features da hat. Und zwar folgendes:

Seine Bilder werden in der Detailansicht in einer Table als Background geladen und obendrüber ein transparentes Gif. Soweit ja alles noch nachvollziehbar bzw. habe ich auch! 
Der Nachteil bei sowas ist ja, dass das Bild nun nicht mehr schrittweise geladen wird sondern erst komplett geladen wird und dann schlagartig angezeigt wird.

Bei V@no habe ich nun gesehen, das er einen Ladebalken solange immer anzeigen lässt, bei dem genau angezeigt wird, wieviel KB schon von diesem Bild geladen wurden. Ich finde dies echt super, da so mancher Analog oder ISDN-Surfer manchmal echt nicht weiss, ob überhaupt was geladen wird oder nicht. Versteht ihr?

Jetzt die Frage: Kennt jemand von euch diesen Mod bzw. weiss, woher man diesen bekommt oder wie man sowas macht?

Ich habe bisher nur einen normalen Ladebalken drin, bei dem angezeigt wird, dass das Bild geladen wird....Aber wielange und wieviel noch fehlt usw....geht dabei nicht hervor...

warum fragst du nicht einfach vano selbst erstmal?

Hätte ja sein können, das bereits ein anderer diesen Mod ebenfalls schon hat bzw. kannte....

Sorry, Chicco, there is no mod published and never will be because first of all what you saw was an experiment and it did not work as expected and secondly it was only showing "guessed" mesurments, because it was mesuring from server side and not from client side...
Then, In order for anyone see that "progress bar" I had to limit the speed at which data was sending from the server, or to be more precise, the speed at which PHP was sending out the data...

I still couldnt find an answer where does the data from PHP output goes, where is it being stored untill client fully received it...and if there a way to get information how much data was sent out to the client via PHP...
Untill I find answers on these questions there is no mod will be made...


P.S. I did not remove the code from the site, its still there, I just removed the internet speed limit, and as you can see the progress bar no longer working...
