Title: Auto reducing new submissions
Post by: Kawboy on January 21, 2015, 03:09:55 PM
I thought I had set for the images to be automatically reduced in size to a max of 800 pixels in the settings section. But when I uploaded a much larger image, it would display at the original images size when you would click on the thumbnail. It appears you should be able to set that max size, but it doesn't seem to work. How exactly do you do that? I don't want people to have to scroll horizontally to view the complete image if possible.

Edit: Today I tried it from a non-admin account, and it would not upload because it said "image size invalid".

Final Edit: Ok, my bad, I now realize that only pictures are auto resized to be used as thumbnails, not the uploaded image itself. It would be nice if there was an auto resizer for images that would reduce them to a set size for those that cannot work with images that well on their own, but I now know that is not possible in the present version I am using.
