Hi,

check database name, password, ... in config.php. OK?
Check the folders about  777:
- data
- data/media
- data/media1,2, and so on
- data/thumbnails
- data/thumbnails/1,2, and so on

Hi,

and about the SAVE MOD from the server ?  on or off

When "on" => delete the cat folders, generate with ftp the folder new with 777

Link?

Hello;
@Kurtw, look at saud's profile. He's site is: www.pakistani.pk/wallpapers
I do not know how the site is managed....
But if the user has to go through an interface such as cpanel or Plesk (common virtual hosts), data directories created by the script (apache client) have to be deleted and re-created through the interface file manager with CHMOD 777, as then the apache client has no permissions... to manage folders permissions.
The problem is that you seem to have needed permissions for folders in your FTP software, but the cpanel or Plesk interface bypass them.
I faced such problem with many cpanel or Plesk users.
@saud, please tell us who is your provider and how do you manage your website.

Update your templates to your script version:
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=13732.0
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=15154.0

And allow upload for guests in one cat.

##################### EDIT ###############################

And update your profile in this forum with a right url... with http://
So we can see it faster in a thread...

Right;
an allowed cat for unregistered users would help people to help you, even if I think it is not really a template problem, at first.

Maybe at this point the captcha has been bypassed, as uploading script has tried to work.

Not completely true. I used cPanel on all my installs with 2 different hosts. the only thing I had to do was set the permissions (did with FTP). I did not have to delete anything and then re-create them.
I do know what you mean and I am sure a lot of hosts have their things set up differently and you do have to do that on the majority. Was just mentioning that this is not always the case with cPanel with every host.

Hello;
relating to problems I faced with Plesk, you have to delete in your Plesk interface any category created by the script ( e.g. data/media/xx/ and data/thumbnails/xx/, where xx is the category ID).
Then, recreate each cat folder you have deleted, also in Plesk file manager, and give them permissions 777. Apache client (as 4images script) does not have the same privileges than  Plesk user...common case for virtual hosts.

There is the only workaround I found to bypass Plesk restrictions. Ask your host if is there exists any way to accept your 4images script to manage folders' permissions, but I doubt.

Hello;
I said I had such problem with another member using a virtual host and a Plesk interface.
His host answered us that there was no solution, due to their users restrictions.
And we had effectively to :
1- create the new category in the gallery Admin Control Panel
2- go into the Plesk interface, and file manager
3- delete this category created by the "apache user"
4- re-create this category, assigning CHMOD 777
... each time we needed to create a new category. :cry:
I don't know about your host's restrictions, but in our case, that was the only way to keep it working without changing host.
Hope you will find your way.
