Basically, you can use the same directory structure as in the unzipped script. The docs folder contains the installation.txt file with detailed step-by-step instructions.

There are no step by step insructions in any of the installation.txt files I downloaded. Can you copy and paste the step by step instructions into this thread? Thanks

1. Decompress the .zip archive to a local directory on your system and FTP all the files it contains (being sure to retain the directory structure) to your host. Once all the files have been uploaded to your site you should point your browser at this location.

2. Now, the Install-Screen comes up. Fill out the required fields and press
"Start Installation".

3. The installation script will create and populate all the necessary tables in your database and some basics settings.

4. The Insatll-Script will then attempt to write to the config.php file which will contain the basic configuration data . If the installer cannot write config.php directly you will be given the option of downloading the file. You should then re-upload the file to your server, overwriting the existing config.php in the process.

5. Set permissions for the following directories:

     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data
     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/database
     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/media
     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/thumbnails
     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : templates
     chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : templates/media

Set permissions for the following files:

chmod 666 (-rw-rw-rw-) : all files in the directory "templates"
chmod 666 (-rw-rw-rw-) : all files in the directory "templates/media"

You can do this with FTP programs such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP.

6. You must ensure you remove "install.php" and any "update_*_to_*.php" files. Additionally you may delete all files in "data/database/default" and the "docs" directory if you wish.

7. At this point your basic installation is complete. Please be sure to check the General Configuration details and make any required changes in your Control Panel.

Jan really did a lot of effort in order to facilitate install procedures, it is very easy to handle, even for beginners. Btw, I am pretty sure your installation.txt contains the same info.  :)

I copied and pasted what was inside the installation txt and what you posted was no where to be found in any of them. Thanks for posting it. I appreciate it.  :)

I followed the instructions and nothing happened.

What do you mean with "nothing happened"? Did you receive any error messages?

Also, have you created a database before starting to install the script?

I downloaded the lang pack, instead of the 4image file. I downloaded the 4images files. I'm trying to install it now. Here's the message I get when trying to install it.

DB Error: Could not connect to the database server (216.97.103.165, theonlinelounge).
