Trouble using Forum
« on: March 21, 2006, 08:55:38 AM »
I m having a little problem with the board.

I am using IE 7 beta from the past 3/4 months and it was working just fine.
But from the past 2 day, as soon as I log-in and what to post something, the page starts reloading again & again.

I can’t browse, can’t post anything and can't use Inbox after that.  Have no trouble using Firefox.

Is there anything changed in past 2/3 days or my browser has just gone crazy.

do u use "quick reply" form, or you use "reply" / "new topic" buttons?
Did you try the lattest Beta 2 build 7.0.5335.5 ?

P.S.
there was nothing changed in the forum in last 2-3 days...

No difference if I use "Quick reply" or "reply" / "new topic"

I am still with old Beta 1

hmmm
I guess then it's time for an update to Beta 2 or to step back to IE 6.

Ok.

I think my Win XP didn’t like that I haven’t updated my beta 1 to IE 7 beta 2. So it started acting crazy. I found the same issue while composing a mail at Yahoo as well.

So I decided to uninstall beta and go back to IE 6.

But this time, XP totally got totally mad and now I even can’t use IE at all. I tried everything but no. It wouldn’t let me use it. Can’t update as well.

So it took me almost a whole day to install new window and then around 40 + other software that use.

So if anyone is using IE 7 Beta 1. Think twice before uninstalling it.  :)

I've used it, and uninstalling went just fine...perhaps something else screwed up on your PC and uninstalling IE7 just "oiled" the wheels to go downhill ;)
A little tip: try system restore next time ;)

hmm, same behaviour here.

i didn't exactly know what i did,
but from one moent to the other, i had the same problem.
i am using quick reply, but that already for a long time, not since today.

if i turned off javascript, i could load the page with no problem.

After closing the browser and starting again,
now everything works normal, with and without javascript.
So i can reproduce this problem again.

Browser Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4

So i posted just for information, maybe other users have such problems too.
