Errors when trying to upgrade

Hi there,

I downloaded the newest 4images and tried to update my 1.5 installation that did not work anymore. Copies over all the files, put back the config file and was ready to update the tables. But that was not so easy, I got:

4images Update 1.5 to 1.6

Anyone who can help and give advice on how to update it?

4images 1.7.4 is the current version, download here:

If login in admin, you see full error.

Thank you for the answers, even if they did not help me very much.

1. It is the 1.7.4 I try to install. I have uploaded the files, done all other changes as needed. Then I have to run the upgrade files, and when I try to run the upgrade file from 1.5 to 1.6 first I get the errors as descibed in the first post. My plan was then to run the 1.6 to 1.7.4 upgrade file.

2. I have looked trough the forum, help files and so on and can not find why I get the errors.

3. The site in question is www.journeypix.com, if you go to it you will see that I, as far as I know, can not log in as admin.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for all help in advance.

Thank you very much for your help. Tried to add what was in the thread, but the only thing that happens is that it takes longer time before it comes to the error message.

I think the mail problem is that it can not update the mysql and so on when it can't run the update_1.5_1.6.php and update_1.6_1.7.4.php or whatever the names of those files are.

Am now able by the way to log in as administrator and get the message that I use 1.7.4. The problem is that visitors can't see the site as only a error message is shown to them When I logged in as administrator I tried to run the update files but same error messages.

Is templates folder world write ? If no, you need set CHMOD 777 for all folder in templates. After, try with patch. If message is show after delete, delete templates/your_template/media/php.html file.

the template folder is writeable. It has 777 already. But I think the main problem is that I can not add changes from the upgrade to the database. Please go to:

Try to run it. You can see the errors that come. I have already added all the new files for the latest version. All I need to do that I can not do is to run the 2 update files for the database.
