Would this work?
« on: October 29, 2011, 02:36:00 PM »
My old 4image gallery had smf 1.1.10 as a forum integrated using an api for single login.

I am wondering if i just install gallery 1.7.10 & smf 2.0.1 in the same database would just one login do both without any api?

Did you do integration yourself of followed a mod's instruction? If second, then your best bet is reply to the mod's topic, so the author could answer your question.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)

No i have not done it yet, just wondering has anyone tried it, and should it work?

I have installed 4images onto a subdomain to try as experiment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE:
Just installing on same db does not link the 2 logins.
Apparently it needs a bridge to connect them both, does'nt matter if smf is installed as wrapped or unwrapped within 4images.

But bridges for smf 2.x are rare and i may be looking at adapting one to suit. possibly smf_2-0_mambo_4-6_bridge_2-0b1.

UPDATE: 2
No need to adapt anything, i have aquired an smf 2 api and smf 2 integration hooks files.
These will allow login integration between 4images 1.7.10 and smf 2.x. using the 4images member files.

Now all i need is the time to post the installation instructions, perhaps someone can assist here!
