what is your configuration?
I know that Windows2000/XP + Apache2 + PHP 4.2.3 (as CGI) has bad problem with streaming mp3s. ( http://www.kplaylist.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=78&highlight= )
but it's probably nothing to do with your case.

and Jan, when I close look at my mail server log I can see that 4images doesnt actualy send login information:

sry, Jan, kinda anoin with this issue...but...
I installed MDaemon v6.5 email server. can send/receive emails (with SMTP AUTH) through anything, but not from 4images.
in MDaemon log it shows:

AUTH PLAIN doesnt work either.
what this means:

does it use MD5 encoding? if so, how about 4images?

does anyone uses SMTP with authentical (user/pass) on 4images?

P.S. I've tryed few others email server with quet same error.

it seems that 4images forget send login info to the server... something is missing in the code.

I installed statistic on my server and add logging script to header.html file. everything works fine, but then I noticed the pageimpressions counts twice when I click on thumbnail to open detail page.
when I do refresh it counts ones, only when open new picture detail it counts twice (actualy its not just detail page, but any clicks counts as two clicks)
so, I'm wondering how come header.html file calls twice on each click?

well, non of your users uses PHP when they open your website, your server does everything and output for them the result.
same with ImageMagic. u just tell 4images script where its installed.
then when time comes to change size of your photos, or make thumbnails, the script will run ImageMagick. that's all.

well, try this:
ftp://ftp.fifi.org/pub/ImageMagick/binaries/
then if u use windows, then u'll need put exact path/with file convert.exe were u install IM in 4images settings:
ex. D:/ImageMagick/convert.exe
if linux, then /home/ImageMagic/covert  (not sure about linux, never used)

GD is not very good for resizing images anyway. maybe u should think about installing ImageMagic, if u can.
