Discussion & Troubleshooting / Re: Session error

Dear Vano,

thanks for fast answer, but unfortunately I do not think itīs a server problem, as the path which it tries to write to:
(/home/users/web/b47/ywh.caboverde24com/cgi-bin/tmp\

was the path on the old server - so if itīs a problem from the new server, how should the new server guess the path of the old server ?

Thanks for help
Daniel

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Session error
« on: April 02, 2009, 03:33:52 PM »
Hello,

I have made some searches but the only answer I found seems not to be correct to me, which was that the problem is on server side.

I get this session error:
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/home/users/web/b47/ywh.caboverde24com/cgi-bin/tmp\sess_72ef0eb8e5f4f087ccb3611bea38a3f2, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in D:\inetpub\vhosts\caboverde24.com\httpdocs\property-photos\includes\sessions.php on line 94

Warning: Unknown: open(/home/users/web/b47/ywh.caboverde24com/cgi-bin/tmp\sess_72ef0eb8e5f4f087ccb3611bea38a3f2, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/home/users/web/b47/ywh.caboverde24com/cgi-bin/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

this occurs after server migration, and so the path where 4images tries to write the session:
(/home/users/web/b47/ywh.caboverde24com/cgi-bin/tmp

does not exist anymore.
So the problem is not on the new server, but on some variable, which determines where the session is written to.

Can anybody help me, and tell me where I can edit this variable ?

Anyone who can help out with a little mod-rewirte ?

Thanks in advance
Daniel

Hello,

as my post may be overread, and i think it is important for us all, here again:

Hello,

I know it has been asked seveal times in this topic before, and also it has been given an answer, but I want to give a suggestion for this...

Question is: Can I change the URL: mysite.com/img123.htm to mysite.com/image_name.htm ?

The answer was: NO, because when 2 images have same name, it wonīt work, the 4images is based on unique ID-Numbers.

Ok, here comes my suggestion:

Could we generate URLs like this instead, so we have still the ID, but weīre using the image or cat name in the URL, which helps a lot in SEO :

mysite.com/image_name-ID.htm or
mysite.com/image_name/ID.htm

Regards,
Daniel

Hello,

I tried to display the image name for every detail page of the images, but I got that it displays a random image name, instead of the one currently being displayed.

I modified the header.html template as follows:
<title>{lang_site_name} - {image_name}</title>

What did I wrong?

I would prefer, to display the entire path of the image, as it displays in the clickstream. Is this possible? Thankyou.

Regards,
Daniel

Sorry,

I have no idea how to manage to change the language-URLs...

Daniel

Thanks,

great ! I got it to work.
The important thing was removing all the code from categories.php besides the few lines mentioned.

Best regards,
Daniel
