ImageMagick and GD not available. Any alternative?

Hi all,

ImageMagick and GD not available on my server and the host will not install it. Is there an alternative? I cant stand having to create thumbnails every time.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The host has no image manipulation software on the server. I only have FTP access to my directories. Do I have any possible solution?

Hi,

I installed NETPBM as instructed and it installed like a charm. The thumb generated, however, is not a valiid image. It's named correctly and has the correct file extension, however it's okb. Nothing is in the file whatsoever. Permissions are all correct, but it simply wont create the file correctly.

Ideas?
