I am using 4images on an adult-related website. I would like to display (once to every user) a splash notice saying this website contains adult material, etc. Can anyone advise me how to do it? I have an example website. I can PM it to anyone willing to help.

Hi,

I want to create a category where only a SPECIFIC user group is allowed to enter and view media inside. Can I do this? Is there a mod? I searched but didn't find anything similar to what I need. Please advise.

I am using the default_full template and I would like to have it in full screen. Currently there is some free space at the top, right and left. Can anyone advise?

Hello,

I would like to offer my visitors the possibility to view/download the original image. For example I am adding images to my site with the size of 800x600. I am always resizing my images so it fits well in the script. I would like to have a button near the Download button that says View Original Size or something like that. Can anyone help?

I suggest there should be a download section for all plugins and mods in one place, which are bug-free and up-to-date. It's way to hard to read many forum pages and then apply fixes. I find it hard to search for specific mods. The search results from SMF is kind of confusing. Also, plugin/mods developers should take responsibility for their work. What I mean by this is to provide some support if/when needed because everyone can make a modification, post it and then you never hear from him again.

Also, moderators and admins should be more cooperative. What I mean by this is to help plugin/mods developers. Mods and plugins should be in english -- and if someone needs help with the translations mods/admins should help him.

Here's how I suggest mods/plugins should look like:

If on the forum, there should be a section for the Official mod/plugin and below it a section for help and support. That way we can get rid of hundreds of useless forum posts.

If on the main website, there should be a download section for the officially released plugins/mods. I think the forum would be best since 4images is not a free script.

Hello,

I am displaying my stats on my website. I wish to display my stats in this format: (example: Hits: xxx,xxx and not Hits: xxxxxx). You see, there is a comma in the first version. I know it is possible because I saw it on a website but sadly I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help please?

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Disable illegal characters in Image Name

Hello,

A user uploaded an image and named it something like "name + : )" : ) <-- being a smiley. I recently installed the bbcode smilies mod for the comments. Since then when I go to this image, (Comments)" href="http://url.com/rss.php?action=comments&image_id=39"> shows up at the very beginning of the page, and next to the image this is also shown: " width="760" height="600" />. 760x600 is the image size. Can someone advise me what is wrong? This only shows up at the images that have weird characters in the image name. I think this has to do with the smiley in the Image name field. How could I fix this?

Hello,

Firstly, if this is in the wrong section, I apologize -- moderators, please move it to the correct section.

I would like to add a new .php page to my website. For example I would like to add a contact.php page which also includes all stuff from 4images. I saw another website that added a contact.php page. I read the FAQ's about adding a new page such as http://www.mydomain.com/4images/index.php?template=howto, but I would like to link to a file (contact.php). Can anyone advise?

Hello,

I am using the default_full template. I would like to add a right sidebar. By sidebar I mean a place to add stuff. For example I would like to display some Site Stats and maybe add some advertisments below the site stats. Something like the userbox in the left, but I would like to add some things in the right. Can anyone advise me how can I do this? I've seen sites that have modified templates but I don't know where to start. Please advise.

Hello,

I tried searching for this but couldn't really find what I am looking for. Searching is so messy (sorry) with SMF.

I once saw a website using 4images and the site displayed some really nice statistics such as total images hosted, total categories, total comments, votes, members and total hits. Is there such a module/plugin available? If someone could point me to a link I would be really grateful.

I think it would be best if you could post the most requested/approved/nice mods/templates on the main website so everyone can download them.  It's a bit confusing to read through all posts on the forum.

Greetings,

I am kinda new to 4images but I love it so far.  I tried searching the forums for an answer to my problem without luck.

I would like to move the categories under the "new images" section.  Could anyone tell me how to do it? I tried doing it myself but I got a bunch of php errors.
