No, you install both mods. The second post is a mod to the original mod . So, install the mod from the first post, then do the modification from the second post.

this was my first mod I ever did...it was really mess...and I was trying make it with as less files to change as possible.
now, when I look at my functions.php and other 4images files, after all the changes I did to them, I'm this much (little) close just  start all over....
if automatic mod installer will be ever released, it wont be able install anything on my gallery

@ Chris, if it's not too much to ask, maybe u could post complete mod here (not just the changes from my post)?

so am geting  confused
where is the right code to change  : or how it's work

Ok I am using 4images version 1.7.4 on PHP 5.2.1 and the original Mod of page 1, top of page2, page6 and page9. (NOT Page14 Kief)
Everything seems to be working fine!

search for:
error_reporting(E_ALL);

replace with:
//error_reporting(E_ALL);

After I upgrade my gallery from 4images 1.7.2 to 4images 1.7.4
I got this error when I try to check the new images

Hi,

this error comes from your php settings in your php.ini. Your options are set to "safe_mode = On ", change it to "safe_mode = Off" and it should work. But you will put down the security level of your web server which could have some risks for hacks.

Please have a look at http://de.php.net/features.safe-mode or search for "safe_mode and php" at google for further information.

Hmmm.... ich hab's grad probiert, also die Slideshow, die im Anhang vom ersten Beitrag dieses Themas steht funktioniert definitiv nicht, ich hab mich strickt an die Anweisung gehalten und bin inzwischen auch schon ziemlich routiniert mit der Installation von Mods, vllt liegt es ja auch an meiner Version (1.7.3), jedenfalls funktioniert das Teil nicht. Aktualisiert scheint der Anhang auch nicht zu sein.

I had the same problem, that the MOD from the 1st post was not working. I did these steps:
- download zip from 1st post
- add the firefox changes
- changed my exiting categories.php 1.7.4 with the changes for the flash show
- downloaded actual slideshow4.* files from working sliedshows here
- changed the obtect loads and some other parts of the files to bring it up to work

My files are here in this zip. Give it a try. And thanks to all who makes such a good gallery and nice mods.

Attached a modified zip-file - a small bug with the screen resolution of the pub up box of the flash show.
