Control Panel Problem
« on: February 19, 2003, 09:47:20 PM »
I just installed 4images to http://cgi.rupertfan.org/4images and when I try to get to the control panel it is a totally blank white screen. It says its loaded and everything too. I redownloaded 4images to my site and I still get the same problem.

No replays - doesnt mean everybody ignores u ;)
probably noone has an idea what could be wrong. well, me neither.
so far the only suggestion I can give - check phperror log and apache error log. if there something wrong with the script or something not campatible with your server's configurations, it should be in the error logs.
ask your host about that.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)

In my Failure logs it says this:

Listing files, sorted by the number of failed requests.

reqs: file
----: ----
   6: /robots.txt
   6: /sitenava.html
   5: /favicon.ico
   3: /medianava.html
  3: /4images/
   2: /infonava.html
   1: /meida.html
   1: /cs.gif
   1: /test/info.html
   1: /stuff/lm007.gif

so does that mean its not working?

no, it's not what u need.
maybe ask your host to pull up error logs for u.
by the way, is your host meet the requirements: http://www.4homepages.de/4images/systemvoraussetzungen.php ?

I'm pretty sure I have everything because the actual gallery works just not the control panel. It's really weird. Can I give you the username and password and have you take a look at it? Thank you for all your help so far!

I dont think username/pass would do any changes, because I wont be able login... :?
u said, that u reinstalled it ones, how did u do that?
did u delete WHOLE 4images folder and started over?
if no, maybe u should try that?
(delete database too)

Yeah, I deleted everything and then redownloaded and reinstalled everything. I have no clue what is wrong with it!

Then, the only solution I can see now, is look at error logs (especialy PHP error log)
