1.7.10 installation problems

I can't find any instruction anywhere on how to install this version.
I have uploaded all files but still shows that I am on version 1.7.9.. is there a critical step that I'm missing? I wish there was more info on this.

Maybe I'm not searching with the correct dialogue but I am trying to find out how to install 1.7.10 from 1.7.9 - I uploaded over old files on ftp but it's changed nothing. I backed up my work but now do I remove and reinstall? I'm not quite following.

Hi,

If you are running a 4images 1.7.9 without any mods. You can download the new version 1.7.10 unzip it on your computer.
Than open you ftp programm and connect to your host where you 4images is hosted. than navigate to the root dir.
Now select all the unzip files from 1.7.10 and upload them. Please make sure that the files will be overridden. Filezilla maybe ask you if you like to override. There you need to say yes. If you have done this. The Version change to 1.7.10.
If you your upload is finished you can check last edit date of the files on ftp.
