hmmm...I can see logged in users even if I'm not logged in...
probably your users are invisible, and then only if u logged in as administrator they shows on home page.

I dont understand what is not possible, because u dont need to be logged in to see registred users online. they shows on home page.

Not with me
Please take a look at my site http://www.foto-janssen.nl under images you can see that you don't see who's online, but i register in i'll see how many people there are on the site

And when you take a look at http://haunter.student.utwente.nl/Terrarevolution/galleries/index.php
down on the page you'll see who is online
I'm using 4Images 1.61

hmm, I did not edit/Modify the Who's online dfeature, thats a whole different thingy as it is already implemented in 4Images.

simply use the {whos_online} tag in you templates and make sure the you call the whos_online template in your index.php, but that is also already done by default.

Cheers,
Vraxor

Suggestion
« Reply #11 on: December 31, 2002, 03:21:05 PM »
Edwin, my suggestion is to upgrade 4images to version 1.7.  Your site is running 1.6.1 and I know there were bug fixes put into 1.7  Since the rest of the people who have replied to you in this thread are using 1.7 and don't have the problem with the "who's online" stats, I think it's fair to say that upgrading to 1.7 shouldn't hurt anything.  I also noticed that, for the most part, you are using the default templates as-is.  So an upgrade shouldn't present too much work.  Besides there are a number of great new features in 1.7 like the ability to use NEXT / PREV to go back and forth through search results and lightbox images.

Best of luck.

In my experience it really isn't hard at all.  Because you are using the default templates and have only changed the table that hold the logo gif, your work will be minimal.  If you can edit HTML, you can do this upgrade.

Cheers.
