Public Uploader?
« on: April 20, 2007, 07:51:18 PM »
Hi all!

So I just installed 4images and I really like it so far. I want to use it for a public uploader, where anyone can upload images that can then be displayed on some forums I run. To do this I don't want people to have to create an account. They just need to go to my 4images homepage, click the upload button and then receive a thumbnail along with the BB code to post the image in my forums. What's the best way to do this?

I've done that. However when you visit the home page its not immediately apparent how a random user is able to upload images. Indeed, it seems like this isn't possible unless one is registered. Is there a way for unregistered users to upload photos? It might just be something I'm overlooking....

You can always provide a link to the upload form in the left menu or anywhere you want to put it

goto - > templates folder -> your template
find member_uploadform.html

thats where the form is so copy/paste the entire form (by hiding some values and playing around) into home.html or whichever template you want it to appear..

See that the form values are retained..

or simply add a link to the below page to open the upload form..

member.php?action=uploadform
