Just wondering if it's possible to have 4images bring up every file in a directory and then allow me to enter name, keywords etc for each file?

As I've already got hundreds of images on my site, linked to in numerous articles, it would help greatly if I could get 4images to do something like the above, rather than me having to add each image individually.

Hi,

We had the same problem on ArtScans.co.uk when transfering all of the existing images from our own image system, to 4images.  Assuming that the image information (name, description, etc) is held in a database somehwere, a simple php script could be used to convert the database.

Although the database structures between ArtScans and your site will be different, we can send you our conversion scripts if you want, so it will give you a general idea that you can build on to convert your exisiting images.

Thanks,
Alan.

Well the image info isn't stored in a database anywhere.  I've just got several hundred image files in a directory, and rather than have to add them one by one into 4images, I'd like to know if there's a way that 4images can scan a given directory, pull the filenames (and their corresponding thumbnails - at my site that's denoted by a lower case 't' at the end of the filename) out of that, and present me with a page that I can add the name etc for each filename.
