Pardon my anxiousness, but when will the "next time" be?  I was under the assumption from another thread here on the forums that integration would be included with v1.7

Also, could you please take a look at a recent question of mine here:

http://www.4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1531

It's something I desperately need for my 4images gallery!

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / v1.7 has arrived, but...

Well version 1.7 is now out, and still no sign of vBulletin integration.

What's the latest on that?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's an easier/quicker way to add new and sort existing categories.

For someone on a dial-up connection like me, when there's a lot of categories it's painfully slow to add a new one or change the sort order of an existing one.

What would be easier is if there was a way to add multiple categories at once.

Also, a way to give a category an index number, and have 4images list the categories in numerical order.  Or, have it list categories alphabetically by default (as it does the images).  This would save the hassle of having to click the move arrows and wait ages for the list of categories to reload, only to have to click the move arrows several more times to get a category in its correct alphabetical order!

Is that possible to do?

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Directory sorter
« on: August 23, 2002, 01:22:26 PM »
Well the image info isn't stored in a database anywhere.  I've just got several hundred image files in a directory, and rather than have to add them one by one into 4images, I'd like to know if there's a way that 4images can scan a given directory, pull the filenames (and their corresponding thumbnails - at my site that's denoted by a lower case 't' at the end of the filename) out of that, and present me with a page that I can add the name etc for each filename.

Just wondering if it's possible to have 4images bring up every file in a directory and then allow me to enter name, keywords etc for each file?

As I've already got hundreds of images on my site, linked to in numerous articles, it would help greatly if I could get 4images to do something like the above, rather than me having to add each image individually.

Chit Chat / Next version of 4images
« on: August 23, 2002, 07:20:14 AM »
How soon until the next version?  I've been asking for a way to combine 4images and vBulletin for several months now!

67
Well it's been over a month since the last expression of interest in this.  Has anything been tested yet, and if so, how is it progressing?

Any idea when this will be available?

68
WOW!  :o

That looks awesome, Nano!  Can't wait for this mod to be released!

Any updates regarding the integration of 4images and vBulletin?  I really want to get this up and running on my site, but don't want to have to make my visitors register to use this when they've already registered for the site!

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Bad SQL Query problem

I have had my site online since February with the SQL database name of x-mencomics_com and it has been working absolutely fine.  So it cannot be my database name that is the problem.

This is the first time I've had such an error where any PHP application has had a problem with the DB name.

My host is running MySQL v3.23.36 and PHP v4.0.6 (in Safe Mode).

It's more an annoyance than anything else, as it does not seem to be affecting the functionality of 4images.  Still, I would like to see the error fixed.

It's only been doing that since I upgraded to v1.6 about half an hour ago.

Everything seems to be working fine; I can upload new images to my gallery and browse fine.  I'm just getting that weird error.

Hi there,

Just wondering if there's been any progress?

Cheers,

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Bad SQL Query problem

Hi there,

Just updated to v1.6, but now on my 4images Admin Control Panel home page, in the last column of the Users row in the Stats table I'm getting:

Quote

DB Error: Bad SQL Query: SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM x-mencomics_com
You have an error in your SQL syntax near '-mencomics_com' at line 1
n/a

Can anyone help me fix this, please?
