I modified it, so the colors would come out better. I read it here somewhere.

I know what you mean, but that isn't the problem. If my host doesn't support GD, ImageMagick or NetPBM then I can't do anything else, right?
Too bad...

make sure its clear: ImageMagick must be isntalled on your host machine, not yours, unless your machine is the host.
I see from your other post http://4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3621
that your host doesnt run windows.

Indeed, that's the problem and they won't install it unless I upgrade my account.

So the only option is to make the thumbs by myself  (with the same name as the original files) and FTP them to the thumbnails folder? Too bad...

convert.exe is for windows systems, I dont know how to install on linux, but there u sould use home/blah/blah/imagemagick/convert

Oh, but I have windows. Should I do anything to create a convert.exe file?

I can't find the convert.exe file in my ImageMagick path   Is that possible?

Running the Auto-Thumbnailer, I'm getting this error:

   Error creating thumbnail!


This is after I modified the image_utils.php file. Before I modified this, I also got this error, but with less warnings.

What should I do? I just installed ImageMagick on my PC, but can't find the file convert.exe. I've read that I should link to the location of this convert.exe file in the settings of the control panel, right?

And yes, everything has been changed to CHMOD 777

Where can I find php.ini? Can't find it in my 4images directory

I hope this can solve my problem with bad thumbnails created by GD. see for yourself: http://members.lycos.nl/fcbasel/4images/index.php

Some are OK, but these I made myself.

Feedback & Suggestions / Thumbnails via FTP

Ich bin ein neuer Gebraucher aus Holland und muss sagen; supertolles system!

Glucklich ist es mogliche mehrere Bilder per FTP zu uploaden, das wusste ich zuerst nicht!
Eine Frage; wenn ich bestehende Thumbnails uploade via FTP, wird dann automatisch die Kupplung gemacht zu den grosseren Bilder?

Ich habe jezte erst die grosseren Bilder via FTP geupped und dan das GD-thumbnail systeem die Thumbnails machen lassen.
Das hat geklappt, aber die thumbnails sind leider sehr schlecht ; http://members.lycos.nl/fcbasel/4images/index.php
Was kann ich hiergegen machen?

Leider kann ich bei Lycos kein Imagemick installieren.
