You'll need to update the templates
« Reply #16 on: October 02, 2002, 05:46:17 PM »
Like the link http://www.vierstra.com/4images.htm says:

"Templates for 4images v 1.5"

Not for 1.6 or 1.7.  So all you have to do is add the new template variables in the templates where you want to use them.  It should be easy enough.

Can someone tell me how I simply add a page to the templates? I want to add a about_us.html page with
Code: [Select]
{header} {footer} etc. on it but when I place it in the directory and chmod it... The file just won't parse... Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

Warning: Failed opening '4greybl.php' for inclusion (include_path='./') in /is/htdocs/31155/www.????????????/4images/includes/template.php(133) : eval()'d code on line 127

Was mus ich tun, um dieses wieder weg zu bekommen ?????????

Re: error ?

IIRC you need to place these files (4blueo1.php, maybe there are more) into your 4images root directory. They are called from the file you see in your error message and obviously if they are not there for inclusion you are asking for an error message ;) . Vienix mentions this in one of the read me files that come with the templates (at least for the orange one it does).

HTH + cheers,
Bernd

Its working now
it seems to be a read write problem.
thnx  [/quote]

and where is this file (4blueo1.php)??????

All you have to do to make these templates from  http://www.vierstra.com work with 4images 1.7, is to copy default 4images template files to the new directory, then just add there style.css (replace), bgcell*.gif images from Vierstra template, and change table width to 100%

You can also review the details posted here http://www.vierstra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77 about making the templates compatible with 1.7

Thanks. I have actually changed characters set for all html files in that template directory. There is still a problem:

Quote

A Runtime Error has Occured
Do you wish to debug?
Line 19
Error Expected ")"

I guess it's the chinese characters ruined the line. However this doesn't happen from the original default template.

here is the problem line:
Code: [Select]

      alert('© Copyright by θÖÁÓýÀ·ÖÀàͼƬ¼ÒÍ¥Ó°¼¯ (Family Gallery)');
