you would like to arrange picture by hand - not sorted by name or date or something else?
i just thinking about my page with categories of up to 300 Photos rearanged by hand?

Yes, that is basically what I need to do. I don't have all my photos up yet, but I would like to be able to start uploading some of the easier ones (digital pictures) and then when I have time and I get to scanning pictures from 20 years or so ago, I can place them in the order I need before the newer photos. For example, say today I uploaded 100 pictures in a category, but a few months from now I finally got to scanning pictures that were much older. I would like to put those first (before), according to the date/year the picture itself was taken. I also would like this feature because I find that sometimes I upload a few pictures, but then find one that needed to go between 2 other ones. In order to do that now, I have to delete photos to get them in the correct order. A majority of my images, at this point, will be scanned photos from when I was a child, my parents as children, etc. But some of those I won't get until later (family needs to send them). I want to get other photos up now and then be able to easily "squeeze" the older photos where to need to be. Hopefull that makes sense:)

Is there a Mod, or can one be done, so that the Admin can rearrange the order of images within a category? I know there is a Mod somewhat like this, but I don't believe it would work for me since the images I need them for are scanned. I'd like to be able to rearrange them in the ACP just like you can change the categories around. And, of course, move any descriptions and comments if possible.

I can't seem to find where to actually change what is in the subject line in main.pho. I see some lines in there that pertain to email, but I don't see the actual subject wording in there.

What I want to change is when the person who registers is activated and they receive the email with the subject: "Registar at *******"     I want to change that to something like "Your registration at *****".

I just want to  make sure before I do this...am I correct in thinking that only "function check_local_thumb($remote_thumb_file)" needs to be changed? So that it should look like:

function check_local_thumb($local_thumb_file) {
  return !is_remote($local_thumb_file) && strpos($local_thumb_file, '/') !== false && preg_match("#\.[gif|jpg|jpeg|png]+$#i", $local_thumb_file) ? 1 : 0;
}

Or does everything after "function check_local_thumb($local_thumb_file)" get deleted?

Also, what does this change fix exactly?

I know how to change the body of the email (in lang/english/email). But how do I change the subject line? I don't see that anywhere. Thanks!

Rename in the smiliesfolder the "icon_shock.gif" to "icon_eek.gif".

EDIT: I fixed it:) It was named icon_shock.gif" in the bbcode.html. Thanks!

All went fine, but one icon is missing although you can click on it and 8o will appear, etc. Picture attached.

I updated 4images from 1.7 to 1.71 with no problem, except that I now have visible code showing in the template on every page.
I have attached an example of one of the pages with errors. I don't know much about templates, so if you can help me I'd really appreciate it. I've posted to the creators forum but have no gotten a response. Thanks!
