New server = mySQL error, help!
« on: April 05, 2003, 04:10:31 PM »
Hi.  My host has just transferred over to a new server and they transferred all my files, including my mySQL datbases.  But, they didn't work properly and when I loaded the 4images directory there was an error saying it couldn't connect to DB.  So I opened config.php and changed to my new databse user name and password.  Then I reloaded my 4images directory and it loaded, but there are no images to be seen, no users, no nothing.  I had over 300 images and over 400 members so obviously you can all see I don't want to lose all that data.  The tables in the database were in tact from my old server until I changed the info in the config.php file, but I still have a copy of the database in a .sql file on my PC.  If anyone can help with this problem, thanks a lot.  I do not have a very good knowledge of phpMyAdmin so some help or advice would be great.  Thanks a lot. Oh, the URL to my 4images dir is http://britneyspy.com/gallery/ thanks again.

Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)
