Alright. I'm working on setting up my second 4image gallery on my domain. My first one is working perfectly with GD. I set my second one to GD too and it won't make the thumbnails

Hi, yes I installed 4Images and all was working fine for a week and then suddenly the 'auto-thumbnailer' and 'auto-image resizer' no longer work. Any Ideas? My version is 1.61

Thanks

The error message I get is:

GD library error.
Check module settings

How to I check these or any suggestions?

Thanks

The modules for image converting must be installed on the server. Ask your host which module is installed (GD, ImageMagick or NetPBM).

If you upload images through the Control Pnele, you have to create the thumbnails with the Auto-Thumbnailer.

I thought I was. I set my setting to GD and it should work right? Thats how it works on my other gallery. I don't have to make them by hand right?

Hello Jan,

I noticed you were talking about a subject which I have a question about.
I have installed 4images using the GD image processor and it all works fine.

My question is: do you have to always create the thumbnails by clicking "creat thumbnails" or is there some way to have GD make the thumbnails automatically as you upload?

Great software by the way!

Same problem here.  :(
I upload images as Main Image file without the thumbnails and they show as a "JPG". If I use the same Image file as thumbnail, the file is too large as thumbnail, but I checked the auto-create thumbnail option.
 Do I need to do something else here?  :?: I spent half a day trying to find the problem. Please help! Thx in advance!
