has anyone successfully integrated or bridged Joomla and 4images?

I already know that a plugin is availible to merge the user login


but have you ever tried managing a 4images gallery and then integrating that into Joomla
I have done it successfully using the wrapper function and some creative modules.

(proof that it can be done on the front end upon request)

but its a royal pain in the ass.
its like a 12 step method to just update one gallery and get it to look seamless in the Joomla template

not something an average webuser would like to do just to update his/her gallery

a GRIDGE between the 2 admin panels would be ideal

any suggestions?

I'd be willing to offer some cash for this project
I'm sure others on the joomla board would too

Hello, I am a long time user of 4images and have run into a problem after upgradin to 1.7.4

on my onther installs of 4images I have been abel to sort categories by name using the category sort mod

but when I apply this mod to 1.7.4 I get header errors  and it does nothing to the category order.

for 4images being as advanced as it is, why hasnt this  and other mods become standard?

can somebody please help me out with this or point me in the right direction on how to display my categories in ABC or alphabetical order

other mods that should be standard on the install
- thumb categories
- category horizontal sort..no columns but rows

Discussion & Troubleshooting / cannot download the backed up database

in my control panel I am able to successfully create a backup of the database
but I cannot view it or download it.

heres the error i am getting.


Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_basefile() in /var/www/html/catalog/admin/backup.php on line 54



I have 2 installations of this script on 2 different domains and both of them are giving the same error

both are versions 1.7.3


MODS:
-category image mod (with images.php mod)
-thumbnailer mod/fix
-resizer mod/fix
-batch import mod
-check all new images mod

Hello,
I have been posting a problem for months now but nobody has replied yet
so I am moving this request to here.

is it possible to display the main categories in a horizontal row "left to right"
instead of vertical columns "top to bottom"?

MAIN CATEGORIES displayed like this alphbetically:
a b c d e f
g h i j k L
mnopqr

instead of being displayed like this:
a g m
b h n
c i o
d j p
e k q
f l r

subcategories are displayed in this manner but not main cats....?


Most of the modern world reads from left to right and top down in ROWS
not verticle columns.

I think this would be a good mod. because if you add the "category thumbnail mod"
and have many categories you are scrolling up and down forever to find a category,
it would be much more efficient if they were organized by horizontal rows

Hello,

I am looking to mod the 4image gallery to display the conternt of a category "the thumbnails" in a single column and next to each thumbnail in that column have it the images description displayed.

anybody have any ideas on the best way to approach this.

getting the content to display in a single column is not the problem but getting the unique description of each image to show up next to the thumbnail is.

my ulitmate goal is to have a single column with a single column of rather large thumbnails and a description next ot all of them,
i want the user to be able to see the thumbnail and read the descrition without having to open each large image up to reads its description

any help would be appreciated
