function (?) to create thumbnail

Hi!

I have installed the "Member personal photo v1.1.1 by V@no"-Mod. It's working fine, but I want, to create (and save) a thumbnail, when a user loads up an Image, to use it in my page.
Is there a function or something like that, to do this?
