Quantity of pictures

Dear Jan,

Strange thing... The quantity of pictures shown on the main index page next to category name is exactly twice the actual number of pictures.

I refrase it for clarity:

On the index page you see: "Photos" (name of category), "226" (number of pictures). You open the folder "Photos", and you see that there are 113 pictures. 113 is the correct number.

It doesn't seem to be a problem, but I wonder why on the index page the number is exactly twice the true number.

Strange...are there any subcategories? The number shows all images in the category and in all subcategories.

There are subcategories. Another mistery -  today the number has changed. Inside the category (including several subcategories) - 114 images.
When you go outside the subcategories it shows 224 images.
Nobody uploaded anything, no invisible categories whatsoever.

I feel like I have done something weird without realizing it. I did not change any code anywhere in your pages. I was only editing my data through MyPHPAdmin.
Its possible that some of my MySQL commands were not correct, but in the Database everything else is correct. Just that misterious number is strange and only in one category. All the rest is really perfect.

Dear Jan, Sorry, I have no further hints. I am puzzled, and I don't know what else to tell. I will search and if I get some ideas, I let you know. Its no problem at all, just a misterious thing.

Dear Jan,

I don't know what happened, but here is what I did:

1. I set permissions for that troublesome category to 9.
After that the counter of pictures had doubled its value (which I have not noticed immideately, and later it was hard to trace back).

2. Today I set the permissions back to 0.
The counter came back to normal. Now it shows correct number of pictures.
