Simple search from external webspace - is it possible?

Dear all,

In the Mod section I've seen that it is possible to show new/random images in an external webspace outside the 4homepages engine.
Could it be possible - in the same sort of way - to make a simple searchfield in an external webspace that will redirect you to the resultpages within 4homepages? Just a searchfield with a 'go' button would be sufficient.

The reason for this question is that I use a few static html-pages before entering the 4homepages engine to make my website extra searchengine friendly (which works ok with a page ranking of 5/10), you can see it in action at http://www.fotofolio.nl
It would be nice if these pages could contain a small searchfield to directly enter the keywords, etc. for the 4homepages pages.
I know some php, but up till now can't figure it out for myself.

just create a simular search form as in search_form.html template pointed to 4images search.php

I thought it had to be much more difficult to do this...
