Problem with Uploading .GIF files!!!

OK, everytime anyone trys to upload a .gif, it gives this error...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreatefromgif() in /home/animega/public_html/aac/includes/image_utils.php on line 71

i tryed replacing the file image)utils.php, but it didnt change anything

please help!!!

GD 2 and higher does not support GIF's.
