Title: 404 File Not Found
Post by: funtours on April 13, 2011, 09:06:17 AM
I am using 1.7.9. version and had no problems so far.

I am uploading pictures to the media folder, than I do a "Check New Files" search and add them.

When I uploaded pictures to the folder 94 and than did a "Check New Files", it found the pictures, but shows 404 File Not Found Thumb
instead of the picture preview.

When I try deleting the pictures in folder 94 with FTP, it wont work. It tells me file or folder does not exist.
Than I have to log on to my account and delete the pictures with Web FTP.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?
I have checked the folder permissions of course but do not see any difference from the other folders.

Of course I have done a search in the forum first to see if I can find the answer, but nothing was found.

I just tried changing the pictures with Corel to a different jpg format, but wont work either.
Than I uploaded the picture in a different folder and it wont work either.

It seems to be some error caused by the pictures themselfes. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong with them?
They are all jpg 24bit RGB. The files names are also normal. No strange letters, no spaces. Strange...

Thanks for your help. 4images is great

Have you tried delete the folder and create a new one via FTP?

yes, I tried that now. I could delete folder 94 using ftp
and I created it again and uploaded the pictures again.

Same story. I figured that there is something wrong with these specific JPGs.
I just do not know what it is. I tried other JPG pictures and it is working fine.

Anyone has an idea? They are all RGB24, jpg, and show up fine on windows applications.
