Yes I tried it before asking here.
I am on Dialup and it took me about 12 minutes to Add keywords & Description of about 30 images.
(Was seeing the Uploading bar ... )
So I thought there may be some wasy way to do so.

Hi

While setting up my site, I never thought of adding Keywords & Description. But now I want to add both of them but I am confused how I would be able to do it with 5500+ images ??
So can some one suggest me an easy way of adding Keyword & Description???

I want to add Same Keywords & Description to all images belonging to one category. (That would be easy I guess)

Can this be done by running some My SQL query ??
Or any other way you would suggest.

I wonder how you manage to do the whole site without knowing the basics of your Hosting Control Panel.

The kind of hosting company you are having right now, you can’t really expect to get such kind of help from them.

Anyway, coming to your problem,
Did you ever used the great site called Cpanel.net ?? If not, you have missed a lot.

I think it’s a great idea.
It could be like a small news letter to the registered users telling them which new images have been added.
May be mailing few links as well (like 10 random links of new images)

Many people on my site register once and never come back.
And with this mod they can see what they are going to miss

I agree.
Many people just get register, download their desired images and then never bother to come back again.
This will help telling them that they are missing a lot.

I have tried it once before but it didn’t work for me. So I leave that for later times. ( I am not having that much time right now due to studies.)

I am currently using this mod Alternate directory for download files  so I need to combine them.
I am just waiting for some time to do a lot of changes.

I really like it.

BUT

• The logo should not bouce all the time (and make it clickable)
• The menu is not something I like that much (would be nicer if it was part of the design instead of floating around)
• Wallpapers should be bigger then 1024X768. Not many are using that resolution anymore (min. 1200x...)
  

All in all I'll give it 7 out of 10 stars

Thanks for the comments. 

1) My knowledge of flash is just nil. The logo was made by one of my friend and I don’t have a better option for it right now. But I will try to follow your point.
2) I don’t actually need that menu. I am going to remove it soon. The default menu is enough for me (I think so).
3)  Surely this is my plane as well. But till now I can’t find how to provide more than 1 download link to users for the same image.

I mean how I can provide different resolution images (I will go for at least 3 if possible)
I have few ideas and I will try to do it in my next vacations

This is becoming important for me now so I am asking again.
It’s not working on v1.7.1. 
(I can still see the images from this category under new images)

Before I thought it’s me be coz I am trying to exclude only one category but now I m pretty much sure that’s its not working. I tried it with two categories by exactly following the post.

Is there anything else I can do?? 
Please Help.

I also want to do this. I have a category of Religious wallpaper and I want to block them to show up in random.
But it’s not working. I mean I can still see the image in “random images”
Do I need to change anything?? (May be coz I just want to block one category)

Hi Everyone

Introducing yet another “Desktop Wallpapers” site based on 4Images.
I have installed quite a few Mods present here. I haven’t made so many changes with the default layout. But still it’s working for me.
I don’t know much about html & php so basically what ever I have done is based on hit & try.
So it’s a small effort of mine in world of WWW

I am using tool tip txt in jpg.html and it works just perfect.
I want to do something and was wondering if it could be done with this tool tip.

In my site, I have few categories where only registered users can download images. So I was wondering if I can show two different text in jpg.html.

Something like

If download button enable
Show tooltip 1
If download button disable
Show tooltip 2

Would it be possible ?  :

i made it 

it all begain from the apache php.ini
where you can turn on and off the session in the adress of the browser

A quick way to fix this is to disable the trans-id feature, if you have access, in php.ini by setting “session.use_trans_sid” to false. If you don’t have access to change php.ini you can add this line to the .htaccess file in your root directory:

php_flag session.use_trans_sid off
it will do the job

I think on most of the site, hosted on shared server that may not be available.
But luckily, for me it’s working fine
Combine with “Search engine friendly url” Mod, it works great.

Now I have 2 questions.

Will it going to effect site response time ?? (Loading time)
How much it cause at server end? (I am on shared server) 

For a normal site that is not getting that much users (just 4 weeks old). (Max 20 online)

This will only disable filters that mod_security uses when scanning contents.
If you dont know what other rules your hoster added to these filters, this is the way to go, but if you know other rules, then you could use SecFilterRemove XXX XXX XXX where XXX is the rules IDs you want to disable.

After reading all the pages that come with the above link, I thought that Disabling mod_security Totally will not be such a good idea.

(Somewhere in the article its motion that it prevents various kind of DOS attack and other hack attempts if its configured properly)

So I started searching Google and after going through 4/5 sites I came up with this

With my limited knowledge, I don’t exactly know what I have done here, but it seems its working fine.
My error log is no more getting mod_security warnings.

So V@no would u please just tell me if I m doing right thing here?
