Thumbnail links to external site/page [$100 paid via epass]

I've been using 4images for a couple of years now, and just want to say great script. I've been trolling these forums for about the same amount of time, but just got around to signing up.

I run 10 + entertainment sites that are currently using the newest version of 4images. The issue I'm having is that I can't "plug" other sites. When I say plug, I mean post a new image that links out to there site/content page. I've seen this issue brought up several times, but I've never seen a resolution for it as of yet.

What I would like to do is be able to add a category called "plugs" or "links", and have the option of putting a URL in the image / url field that would link to another site when the thumbnail is clicked. Also, the thumbnail will need to open a new window, but only for that category.
