problem installing
« on: December 14, 2002, 02:33:16 PM »
i searched previous posts to see if i could find an answer but i couldnt. so if someone can help me that would be great.

once i submit all the information on install.php i get this error:

Could not load: ./data/database/default/mysql_default.sql

and i have no idea what to do to correct it. ive checked with my host and all my database/host/name/user/password information is correct.

what should i do?

this error has definitely nothing to do with your database-access-information.

ensure that the whole path is set readable for the user your webserver is running with.

I'm facing the same exact problem. I'm very new to msql type stuff & playing with these tricky settings so plz bare with me! But yeah I'm facing the same thing as Kkarma. I tried installing with the path's CHMOD set on 755. My server only lets me go down to 744 (unless I put in a request) & at 744 the installation page won't even show up. Which setting should it be on? 644? All your help's appriciated~ thanks!

Oops I got it figured out. I had to enter in the words "Localhost" & "mysql" for the name & host I think. Just email the server and ask them for msql settings.
