Discussion & Troubleshooting / can't upload images, no error message

Hi,

a strange bug it's happening in my gallery. When i try to upload an image, it doens't give me any error message, but instead of that it shows a blank page, and the image it isn't uploaded.
I haven't deleted any file, so i don't understand what's happening.

i had a new user field to the profile, wich is something like a little personal presentation of the user, and i would like to let this field have more than 255 characters, cause i can't get this bigger than (varchar 255).

is it possible?

Hello,

i'm running a contest on my site and i would like to create a new template where i would show all images that are running on the contest. I would like to know if it«s possible to make something like {thumbnail=131}, and this would show image #131 of my database, but with all the thumbnail info (image title, owner, category, comments, and lightbox button)

this way it would be much more easyer to me cause i would just point all the image ids and that would show their thumbnails.

this would work with cookies, and it would show only once to each user, or maybe only once per day to each user...

isn't possible to configure the text that shows in the search results page?
i mean, it always shows "Seach" xx images in xx pages...

can't i configure to show the text that we inserted in the search field?

eg:
i'm searching for all pictures in "black and white"

result page would have the title "black and white"

hello,

i have some members on my site that i've chosen to be the juri. I'm organizing some contests and image awards and those members will elect the winners.

what i would like to have is a mod that would create new area (maybe a private folder) showing a template where all images (thumbs with all info and link) would be shown and in front of it would appear a text area and 3 check boxes, where juri members can write what they think of the image (text area) and what kind of award she would win (check boxes).

This would work as a mailform and the mail would be sent to admin mail, with info about: pictures id and link; juris text area and checkbox contents; and juri member id.
This info would be private and not shown in the rest of the site, so any of the other members wouldn't see this private info.

it would be nice to have an archive of all juris messages in this mod, but i think that this may be more complicated to solve.

anyway, is this mod possible?

im trying to use the last commented images http://4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4060 mod on my site, and i did everything correct, i added the code in index.php and created the comment_short_bit.html like i wanted.

now to see the images i created a new template, called comments.html, where i put the {comments_short}

i try to see index.php?template=comments
but nothing shows... what should i do? must i put the code in includes/page_header.php and not in index.php?
if so, in wich part of the code and how should it be?

hi

im currently using the mod that shows users last comments in their profiles, and i would like to add, bellow the thumbnail the name of the user that owns the image, something like {user_name} or {owner_image}. I already tryed this, but it shows always same user...
any ideia what can be wrong?

one other thing is, im trying to use the total last commented images on my site, and i did everything correct, i added the code in index.php and created the comment_short_bit.html like i wanted.

hello

i've been thinking in creating some secret fields in image description and in member profile, in a way that only admin would be able to fill that info.

for ex:
"this image was winner of contest Nature (May 2003"

or:
"this member was member of the month in May 2003"

Administrators would set this info in Control Panel and users wouldn't be able to edit it.
i think it should be something like this

{if admin comment} {admin comment} {endif admin comment}

any way that this could be done?

i'm currently using a private category, where i put the best pics of my site, it's like a 'category of honor'. But what i would like to change is:

when i put the image on that specific gallery, that pic looses her primary category (portrait, for example), being now featured as 'category of honor'. I would like to know if it's possible to make pointers to images in another category, what i mean is, i want same picture being featured in both category, but the 'category of honor' would just be a simple pointer to the 'portrait' image, showing all the thumbnail info, and when clicked go to the image details page at the 'portrait' section.

i guess i found a little bug...
i can't comment same picture twice. i've integrated the vote system in the comment form, like i've seen in some topic here (don't know wich one).

and when i try to comment the pic for the second time it shows "votation invalid" but im not voting, im just inserting comment.

should i post any code here?

i want to get bigger thumbnails on my gallery, what i have to do is just go to the ACP options and set the "thumbnails size pixels" to a bigger value?
