Serving up video from another server
« on: July 03, 2003, 04:31:51 PM »
When I upload an Image file:
I paste in the URL and type an image name.
After submitting it, the file plays immediately and it states Image added in the Control Panel. :D

Then I go to play it from the thumbnail in it's category - it
hangs up.... then it show a dialog box "Downloading to temp folder"
It then goes wacky in a new IE window with the address:
C:\Documents and Settings\bbacon.BUSH-NY\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8V8VEXAP\details[1].htm

This worked fine on a testing server, but on the WWW?

My Image library is on one server and the media files are comming off another. 6mb AVI

All the latest software. 4waters template. Win2000

Any clue?  I've looked high and low in these posts.

I've tested this on two servers:

2 Mb and under files work. 8)

Over 2 megs don't work, :?
So is it a time-out issue with regards to how long it takes to get to the page? :?:

I've heard that php can't pass file bigger than 2 Mb, is that true?

Check "memory_limit" in your php.ini
