db backup not working
« on: July 31, 2007, 05:37:31 PM »
My host upgraded the php not too long ago.
When trying to do a databse backup I get the internal server error.

Is it the php upgrade that causes this?
or
Is it the lack of ram on the server (it has 4 gig) which is shared by many.
The database is approx 29mb in size.

Any patches/settings I can do?

One other question, I cannot find where the db is on the server to manually dl it to back it up. Is there as standard place they get stored for mysql?

Yeah I am blonde and don't know much.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@mariskahargitay.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Yes, that's causing the time out and error.
Try to use PhpMyAdmin for backup or use SSH access if you have.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
1. Forum rules
2. FAQ
3. Search
