Title: Load main (parent) categorie from subcategorie

hi!

how can i load then main categorie of the actual subcategie?
is there a variable like parent_cat_id or parent_cat_url or anything else?
can anybody help me?

i'll try it again.

on my homepage i have categories, subcategories (items) and then pictures.
on the view where you can see the picture i have also a button "arrow up".
when you push the button you come back to the item page (subcategorie).
on the item view (subcategories) there is also a button "arrow up".
now i want to go back to the "main" categorie.

the actual categorie_id is the id from the subcategorie, but i need the parent cat. id.

do you know what i mean?

example:
pic1 is on the screen, then i push the button "arrow right", pic2 is on the screen, then i push the button "arrow right", pic 3 .... and so on ..... pic 9 is on the screen. now i push the button up and the itemlist of the subcat is on the screen. now i push the button up again and now i want, that the main (parent) categorie comes on the screen.
and this work with clickstream? i don't know how.
