Chit Chat / GD Bibliothe Installation

Habe keinen Plan wie man din Autothumbnail GD Bibliothek installiert.

Was mache ich mit dem heruntergeladenen Verzeichnis gd-1.8.4 ?
Wie soll es auf den Server gelegt werden? Welche Datei wird angesprochen? Gibt es noch eine Art config.* die ich beachten muß?
