different picture size for download or in display page from one picture

Hi all,
        Is it possible to uplaod one big picture and from that  on-fly we can display different size pictures in detail page or we can download different size pictures ??


currently I am using one php script, in which we can supply desired width/height to display modified picture on the detail page.  ( this may help to get a solution for this )

                          I  have gone through that post . but that is not exact one i am looking for.

  My requirment is to get differrent size pictures from one big picture..   I have one script that can give me the desired size of one picture, but I have no idea how to implement it in 4image
