How: How can I protect my upload folder?

I ve uploaded files to the folder named "7" (catelogies ID from my website which used 4images)
http://www.mitdac.com/my/images/data/media/7/somefile.wmv
But someone go to my site http://www.mitdac.com/my/images/data/media/7/ and CAN GET ALL FILES LISTED ON MY FOLDER.
How can I automatic protect it?
Plz remember: 4images creat the folder , not me.

.htaccess file is the best vor server with RewriteEngine On
Look in your phpinfo to see it  On/ Off
