Discussion & Troubleshooting / admin rights problem
« on: November 02, 2006, 02:55:24 PM »
We've been dealing with a major hack in our hosting server over the past couple of weeks. We traced it back to an point release of 4images that dates back a couple of patches ago. We installed some backups and upgraded the install. Everything seems fine, but I did find that we had an extra admin that had been added. I deleted him and in the frustration and fast pacing of trying to get everything done so that the client may not notice I accidentally switched the rights of my admin account from admin to "registered user that needs activation". Yeah, I know...I'm stupid, but I was here late restoring sites and up early to get here before the clients started calling. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way possible to get my admin rights back. Maybe by switching something in the db? I don't know...I just know that I REALLY don't need to take the site down for 4 or 5 hours again while I restore a backup from cPanel, then manually upload specific updates that have occurred since the last clean backup (a month ago). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you.
