How do i disable captcha?

hi, i use 4images as a personal gallery system and would like to disable captcha because it doesnt show up correctly. (i'm using a fresh install 1.7.4 )
i've tried removing it from the html emplate but that doesnt seem to cut it.
so how do i disable it completely from comments?
