Hello,

so i thought about the dreamboard forum, there are just to many bugs, beside of that, there have to be more regular forum options, so i decided to ask a php coder to completely rewrite that forum, to an completely new and working addon. Of course i have to pay him, but i don't want that to be a payed MOD for you - but you can donate  :D

When its done, i will post it of course on the 4images forum, as a little contribute for all the help i recieved since i'am using 4images.
The forum will not longer be called "Dreamboard" because of the whole new structure and new options. Even if i'll pay for it, it will be remain an open source project.

Features of the new board:

- Avatar support
- Image support iin topics
- ALL bbcode/2 support, smileys etc.
- Recent posts on main-page (not only the past 5, more options to show)
- User post-rankings
- Write PM from topic
- Completely new ACP configuration for the board
- Better integration of user-bord statistics in member-profile.
- Regular board options who where missing in dreamboard
- e.t.c.

Of course, some functions can only be udes if you install the required MODs. But we will try to make the installation simple.

If you have any ideas, what the board must have, now its the time to say it. The writing of that addon begins next week, estimate BETA version avalible end of this month.

Also i need BETA-testers, everyone who will participate in this should write here in this topic.

PS: As an idea  :arrow:  it would be grate, if the board has not a new stylesheet, so that different templates can be used and the integration is more easy.

Yes the stylesheet will be the one you use for your template, good idea.

PS: I have progress, found 2 coders, i have to check them tomorrow, if everything is fine we start in two days :)

here  6 ideas wich would be nice to se in the forum .

1. moving threads from one topic to a other ( needen for those who post stuff in topic 1 that is should be in topic 2)
2. new threads sence last visit (needed to keep track of ancers on your posts)
3. mark everything as readed for logged in user (needed to say i readed everything i needed to)
4. mail to mod of topic when user add thread or ancer to thread
5. mod button to send admin a pm to report a user or thread so admin can check if a bann of user is nesesary
6. Time banning for users. (admin can bann a user for x days so he can think about behaving)

more ideas coming LOL .

I have only troubles with the dreamboard..i cant use this!

you want to write a completly new code for a board?
sounds interesting, but unfortunatly its not done in just a few days.

Maybe i can help you as a beta tester, checking also for errors in code.

If the new board is ready,
you can simply write a small update script which can use old entries for the new board,
depending on the db structure of the new board.
(an converter)

No good news, still not found a GOOD php-coder who can write it. I've met allready 5 guys, but noone thinks he can do it. I keep you posted on this.

This sounds like a great idea. But as IcEcReaM said. It's coing to take time.
Did you try and ask on hotscripts or sites like that?
