Discussion & Troubleshooting / ZIP files question

That's what I thought it did in the first place.  I could zip up 120 pixs and then they would all get displayed and thumbnailed in the category I uploaded too.  Alas I was wrong in assuming that but there is alway a future release that it may be added to.

What Vienix meant to say was no but here is a template you can use to make it look just like phpBB2's.   If 4images was a plug-in for phpBB2 than it would work.

5
If it is showing up as text you have to fix the mime types in Apache...i think

Is there a way to put them in alphabetical order by the category name?

7
Can this be done?

I'm setting this up for a band that wants to keep a tour history.  I made a category for every year.  Each year has a new category for each concert.

Here is an example of the hierarchy

2000
---2000-9-30 - Ram's Head Tavern - Annapolis, MD  [date/venue/location]
------Pictures............ [pictures from the concert]
---------Artwork........ [cd/vcd/dvd artwork for the audio & video]
------Audio
---------First Set....... [mp3's from the first set]
---------Second Set... [mp3's from the second set]
------Video............... [mpg's of songs from the show]

So I create the concert category.  Now I have to create 6 more categories.  So when I add a new concert I have to manually add these 6 categories...There are over 1,000 shows I'm looking to add.  That's 6,000 categories I have to manually add.

I would like to think there is an easier way maybe when you add a new category there is a drop down menu for "sub category templates".  If would default to none but then I could choose the a template like the one I want above.

I don't think there is any like this in 4images right now.  I am wrong?

If there isn't would anyone else be interested in it?

I rather it just use phpBB2's user database and session functions

>>click a button and the categories will be put in alphabetical order
Yah this would be nice.  All my categories start with a date YYYY-MM-DD
It would be nice when I created a new categories it when in chronological order by date instead of me having to use the up/down arrows.

Mods & Plugins (Releases & Support) / Integration 4images 1.7 / phpBB

Jimmie's Chicken Shack is a rock band from Annapolis, Maryland, USA.  Their last album Bring Your Own Stereo was released in Germany also and they did a very short tour their in 2000.

I'm going to attempt the integration right now.

You'll probably need another script that adds the users in the current 4images table to the phpbb_users table.  Then you can run the integration script.  Luckily I'm just getting my 4images database populated so i only have one user - the administrator which is the same as the one in phpBB.

I hope this works, I'll try it out later this weekend
